Carnival . Pomba Gira and Ze 2008 - 2016 This painting started as a line drawing ,a cartoon for the large oil painting "Pomba Gira,Queen of the 7 Crossroads and Ze " The background brings together references from a pre-carnival market in Rio and exotic plants and parrots from the garden of the Fazenda, Los Palmeiras, Formoso, where I was based. It has had several revisions, the last in 2016. |
